Dudley Council Environmental Centre – Permitter Protection Installation
Overview
Dudley council were looking for a new vehicle access system to control the flow of traffic and prevent unauthorised access whilst still utilising the existing ANPR system.
Situation
The current vehicle access system used by Dudley Council Environmental Centre was outdated, suffering from excessive wear and tear. In addition the existing gates did not comply to current BS EN 12453:2017 standard.

Solution

Results
Using the newly designed D3850 Barrier which utilizes an enhanced motor and gearbox assembly which has eliminated the need for counterweights. Obviously this also removes the trapping hazards associated with traditional counter weighted barriers, and reduces the space required for installation. As with all our barriers, a complete safety system can be configured, with safety edges to the bottom of plain booms, photocell protection and induction loop vehicle detection.
