Overview
This Private Hospital and NHS facility commissioned Zicam Integrated Security to secure and protect patients and employees at the premises. Disciplines which required service and maintenance were intruder alarms, CCTV and access control.
Situation
Zicam were commissioned to carry out remedial works and repairs on site for the existing systems in place. This included advising on system expansion for enhanced security and recommending upgrades to the existing system. Zicam were awarded the contract for service and maintenance for all sites within the UK.
Solution
Due to budgetary constraints site were not able to invest heavily in the existing systems, Zicam worked with site in conjunction with the budget they had to maintain and upgrade the systems in the most cost effective manner within these constraints.
Results
Site received on going support with regards to reactive and corrective maintenance on all sites as below:
System – CCTV
Visual inspection of all internal and external cameras, cabling and power supplies, and control equipment
Upgrade to firmware/software where required.
Adjustment and cleaning of cameras to ensure optimum image quality
Inspection and testing of telemetry equipment and transmission through to monitoring station
Hire of MEWP
Detailed report to include recommendations where appropriate
System – Access control
Operational test of all readers and door controller equipment
Electronic Lock strength and integrity testing
Battery power calculations
Detailed report to include recommendations where appropriate
System – Intruder Alarm
Operational test and cleaning of all detectors
Testing of signalling device through to monitoring station
Visual and functional inspection of cabling and devices
Operational test of sounder/strobe devices
Operation test of secondary power source
