Zicam required a full upgrade to its current ageing intruder alarm. This was part of a phased expansion; we upgraded the Alarm at Zicam House and at our new storage facilities located in Stourbridge. This new facility was procured due to our sustained and continued growth.

Zicam required a full upgrade to its current ageing intruder alarm. This was part of a phased expansion; we upgraded the Alarm at Zicam House and at our new storage facilities located in Stourbridge. This new facility was procured due to our sustained and continued growth.
Off the back of Brexit, Covid and subsequent supply chain issues we realised the potential gap that this almost perfect storm could have left our clients with equipment shortages and exaggerated lead times.
For this roll out, Zicam Systems Group Ltd partnered with UK based design and manufacturing security company, Orisec.
Solution
Zicam Integrated Security Ltd designed and installed a grade 3 intruder alarm system capturing current NACOSS regulations utilising dual path signaling to our dedicated Alarm Receiving Centre.
This platform adds further benefits via full remote connection and diagnosis to the system including Android /IOS user and installer applications. Post installation we noticed a reduction in false alarms and greater management of defined areas in within our premises which can be remotely armed and disarmed
Results
Due to the increased value of our stock holding and the enhanced coverage needed from our insurance brokers, we specified a grade 3 intruder alarm with remote signaling through to our Alarm Receiving Centre. This was further reinforced by a police URN to necessitate immediate police response in the event of an intruder penetrating our warehousing and office facilities.
